I'd love to have an update posted about the completion of the barnabas house as I have heard it is finished. Maybe some new photos too?

I was interested in visiting Mt. Hagen in August for there Mt. Hagen Festival. I am a Christian photographer from Cincinnati, Ohio and I was looking for a cheap place to stay possibly with some missionaries while I attend the festival. Do you know anyone there I could contact? I appreciate any help you can give. I would be happy to donate any of my images to there cause. Blessing!

Mike:

A couple comments on above. First, I think you are doing a great job of getting this information out to people and will be very helpful. Second, it is my understanding that you can get your VISA prior to arrival in PNG by mailing all the information with your passports to the PNG embassy in Washington DC. You can download the appropriate paperwork from the PNG embassy. This will likely save time in going through customs and you will pay the cost prior to arrival in US dollars and not have to worry about exchanging money at that time. Please correct me if I am wrong. Third, there is constant battle between Air Nuigini and any other airlines usually Qantas if you try to book another airlines and only take Air Nuigini for the shortest distance. However, if you book Air Nuigini for the longest distance therefore pay them the most money they will honor the International luggage weight and number of bags. Our travel agent has went directly to the Air Nuigini office in LA and sat with them to work out the details as she makes all the New Tribes travel arrangements which flies frequently to PNG. If people try to same money to do it another way that is what will cause problems and costs in Port Moresby.
